Na minha opinião, algumas das melhores canções pop de todos os tempos foram escritas e interpretadas por esta banda que edita discos desde os anos 80. A pop elegante, madura e refinada dos Go-Betweens conquistou um público restrito e, até hoje, muitos não conseguem entender por que razão estes australianos não alcançaram sucesso de vendas de alguns dos seus discos. The Smiths - a melhor banda pop dos últimos 50 anos

Uma das bandas que mais marcou a minha adolescência. Ainda os escuto com alguma frequência, assim como o seu vocalista(Morrissey) que enveredou por uma carreira a solo. Mas, foi durante a adolescência, que os Smiths fizeram parte do meu quotidiano e, as suas canções, eram a banda sonora das minhas tardes de melancolia, das profundas e intermináveis crises existenciais, do saborear das paixões não correspondidas, da solidão interior, do meu romantismo incurável... São intemporais; foram e são uma das bandas mais influentes da música pop. O albúm "The Queen is Dead", ainda é considerado um dos melhores discos de todos os tempos. Para mim, continua a ser um dos meus preferidos entre todos os discos que já ouvi (e são muitos).
